Organizing

If you know me, you know that NOTHING makes me happier then new ways to organize. I LOVE getting fun organizing ideas, and I love to rearrange and make things more efficient.

Today, the man that was selling us his treadmill handed us the manual, very impressed they still had it. Then he happened to mention he bought it in 2001 and where he bought it. I told him he had a good memory. He shook his head no, and pulled out the receipt. Now I'm pretty good at my receipts I file them well and I keep the important one for plenty of time....but could I find a receipt from something I bought in 2001 that fast? And then he told me his secret, which to you may not be very exciting, but to me....*sigh*...well I LOVE good ideas on organization. He said he always keeps his receipts for large items IN the manuals themselves and the manuals of course have a file of their own. BRILLIANCE! LOVE this idea.

I know this post made most of you fall asleep. But these simple things MAKE MY DAY.

Oh what spreadsheets can do.....

Last year I made a goal that I gave up on. I lost 10lbs and quit. It took me almost 5 months to do that too! This year I reset my goal, rethought it, worked it out in a spreadsheet and am actually sticking to it. 5 weeks in I'm already down another 11! I know I'm never gonna be a size 4 like HS or a buck twenty but here are some realistic goals I've set for myself.

This is about 16 lbs away from where I am....and size 8

Top one is the same as above, but the swimsuit picture would be only 10lbs less then I am now! WOOT!

Updates

Anal retentive won. I gave in, and organized Izze's BIG GIRL room. She will not be moving in there, but at least I have some toys outta my living room! She was seriously taking over. Its much nicer!

We are on pony tail strike in my home. She keeps RIPPING them out and pulling out her hair in the process. It would be easiest to skip them all together, but then her hair hangs in her face. I do not want bangs for her, adn therefor refuse to cut it. Its one big ugly circle.

In other news, she is no longer goliath. She is down from the 90th percentile to the 75th, in both weight and height. She is also done with shots until kindergarten, and done with well baby until her second birthday. Wow she grows so fast.

We are moving on to environmentally freindly diapers (Thanks Amber!) They are called gdiapers. They are disposable, flushable, compositable diapers (You can also use clothe with them if you so choose). I hope they work out for us. They are SUPER cute.

13 days until back to work and back to school....oh the joys and the tears. I am soo nervouse about school. Hopefully, I get my books mailed here in time.

We are off for our last "camping trip" of the year. We will be home Thursday!
