Silly Rabbit, Shoes are for KIDS!

So...anyone who knows me knows I don't have an athletic bone in my body.
But I am
trying.

Last week I went out on a mission to get some good supportive running shoes. Figure this may decrease my odds of rolling my ankle from once a week to maybe only like once a month.

I spent way too much time waiting and not nearly enough time trying on. There was one man getting shower for about 15 customers, but that's a WHOLE nother store.

Anyways, I picked some nice comfy shoes. They had them in "raspberry" or "ice" and of COURSE I wanted the pink. The man was taking FOREVER. I turned around and noticed a stand with the "ice" colored shoes stacked right there. No "raspberry" but the same exact shoe, for 30$ less. I was a little confused, but investigated further. Yes, exact same shoe. But whats this, the sizing.....OH ITS A YOUTH SHOE.

I start to walk away and stop. "Self" I think "you have small feet--check it out". So I look, and the highest size youth offered was six. I'm an adult women 7, no way that will work. But HEY I've got time to wait. So I try on the shoe and its too big! So I look, and grab a 5.5 in the shoe. Sure as heck, it fits. Its got about a half inch of wiggle room (which I was told was a good think in a running shoe). And I am getting the exact shoe for 30$ cheaper! It may not be pink but its money in my pocket!!!!!

Can I get a HELL YEAH for small feet?!?!?!

Now.....lets hope the ankle rolling DOES diminish.

*I still am not able to figure out the difference between youth sizing, women sizing, etc. The inside of my shoe says US 5.5, but the inside of the WOMENS shoe that I had looked at same shoe, but size 6.5 adult womens, said US 4.5 WTF

Black Friday, Take Two

My second Black Friday and I had even more fun then I did last year! This year Kohls opened at 4am! That meant we left the house an hour earlier!

At 2:30 I was too excited to wait any longer for my 3:00am alarm, so I was up for the day! Two of the group went to Kohls, and the other two of us went to Wal-mart to find where we'd need to be at 5am.

We were in the parking lot of Target by 5:30am. When the doors opened, I budged again! Oops! Naughty. That was a long trip, the lines were outrageous and I got MOST of what I needed and the one thing they were out of I DID get a raincheck for!

Then breakfast at Perkins.

Followed by some outlet shopping, where I got GREAT deals for my Cruise, 2 dresses at 1$ a piece and a mini skirt for $2! I <3 Gap!

We then went BACK to Perkins since one of us, eh hmmm, forgot there purse *coughes, NANA*.

Then T and I ditched the other two and headed to Fbo and Nfld for some MORE good deals.

I returned home at 3:00 almost exactly 12 hours after I left. I proceded to decorate with some Christmas stuff, and then actually went BACK to Target (for trip number 3). Its now 6pm and I'm WIPED. So, off to bed for me when Izze goes!

Tomorrow we head to WI to see Kev's family! And then to Oakdale to see my loves' The Frandrups! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black Friday

I did it! I went shopping on Black Friday for the first time ever. I woke up at 3am, my step mom picked me up at 4am and we were in lines waiting by 4:30am. It was tons of fun, I was naughty and I budged in line to get a "big deal" item, which really wasn't needed since there were plenty of them I had the chance to get some other "big deal items" but didn't think we needed them, so I didnt, then I came home to find out we COULD HAVE used them. Oops, maybe next year! The funnest part is, none of it was for me :-) I was buying stuff that other people asked me to pick up for them, but it was the thrill that excited me!

I can't believe the way people spend thier money that morning (which most years I do too) buying sale items because they are cheap, not becuase they are needed. I try to remind myself its not a deal if you dont NEED it. But honestly how much in life to we really need? Do we all need TVs, computers, internet? I think I do, but do I? Really I need food to eat and a place to lay my head at night. So in the end, its okay that I didn't get anything for us, because I do have my needs met (plus a few extras!).
