Time to move
I am not much of a cleaner, that is Kev's job. But today as I start to feel a little better, the fear that it may all come back again is very much alive in my brain. So I spend the day disinfecting EVERYTHING we have touched. Multiple times. Light switches, phones, keyboards, toilet handles, faucets, toothbrushes, hand rails, door handles and much much more. But the fear is still there, what if I miss something?! What if we all get this AGAIN in the next few days! Could you imagine! Uggg. So instead of cleaning, I think I may just move. I'm gonna take the bear essentials, and make sure they were soaked in bleach first. Everything I take will now be white from the clorox. Then once I have all of my family out of the house, I will burn it. Straight to the ground. That way there will not be ANY germs left.

Hello My Name is Squirt
*Warning*This may be a TMI post*Warning*
AKA: Daddy, Kevin, Kev
My little girl has her very FIRST illness, after 10 months of nothing, I'm pretty lucky. Of course she brought out the BIG guns for our first illness. We don't get an ear infection, we don't get a rash, we get the EXPLOSIVE BODILY FLUIDS FLU.
We wake up to the coughing choking sound of a hung over drunken college friend. Flashback, is Will okay in that bathroom, am I back in Mexico? NO--wait, I'm home, I'm a mom....its IZZE! As dad sprints off to check on her, I come to the conclusion it is my child, not just my friend whom I have to clean up after! As I enter the nursery I am thown back...wow that smell. Daddy took the baby for baby clean up, mommy is on bed clean up. I strip the room down of every little thing that has come in contact with this very grown up, un baby like, vomit. And with every little thing I remove, I gag, I choke it back, I'm about to die...the flu is not just contagious by germs it is contagious by smell and sight! As I'm cleaning up, fear is setting in, fear that I will get sick too. I start to fear going close to my sweet girl...the girl I want to comfort! Lucky for me Daddy patrol came through....he did it all. While I took care of my dry heaving self. After an hour, she was down for the rest of the night. All the while, I wallowed in my self pity of "bad mommy blues".
This morning I woke up to the sound of water gushing from a rear end. Daddy again jumps out of bed to make sure everything is okay. He takes two steps towards her and gags. He can't do it! I am now feeling much better, as I lay in bed and smell the lovely stank of a very dirty butt. I CAN DO THIS! And I did! No gags, nothing. So I came to the conclusion that there are two camps of people out there....they are the Chucks and the Squirts. Sometimes you come from both camps and most of those people are the SUPERWOMAN moms of the world, and there are the ones who prefer not to camp all together.
