The Runaway

Life is sure crazy around here some day. We have officially made it through our first experience with a run away. Yes, our daughter ran away. She high tailed her little butt out of here as fast as she could. Luckily she didn't head for the road, she headed for the back trail. She took off when we were not looking and ditched her brother. I'm pretty sure she was running away to grandma's house. Luckily she got side tracked. She found some mud puddles. She splashed and ran and ran and splashed. All the while her father and I were frantically looking and calling her name. We were watching the road to make sure she didn't run infront of any cars, we were watching the back yard to make sure she didn't find a big mean bully on her way home, and we were watching the baby, to make sure she didn't get into trouble while we looked for her naughty older sister. Finally after a very long 25 minutes she came home, covered in mud and completely satisfied. She was scolded and put to bed for the night. Her spunk now seems to be out of her system and she will hardly even step foot off of the back deck, in fear of the rath that was her father last night. Thats one smart little girl.
