Day 8

Someone who has made your life a living hell or treated you badly

This is such a negative one. In all honesty, I try not to let someone else make my life hell. I find myself thinking of Eleanor Roosevelt "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

So for the fun of it. I will say THIS man.

He is the bain of my existence. He annoyed me greatly in green. He annoyed me that much more in purple. I was always torn, I LOVE to see him sacked, and all of a sudden I was cheering for my own QB to get sacked. Thats depressing. At the end of the day, he did nothing for my team. Some may argue we had an awesome year his first year with us. But really, what did he do, except let us fall short. He got hopes up, he made believers out of skeptics and then he let us down. Ending the season with another of his infamous interceptions.

I thank you Lord for convincing him to finally retire.

Amen

Don't want him!

Seriously. I can not take 4 months of this.

Will he or won't he.

Then a whole season of the new team "Brett Favre and the Vikings".

NO FREAKEN THANKS.

We are the Minnesota Vikings. We are not about one person. We are a TEAM. And a team I've loved in good times and in bad, because they are my TEAM. But turning them into a freak show, by throwing a 40 year old has been in the mix, will NOT make me love them more.

My husband tells me. "I want a superbowl". Well, sure, I do too. But do I want to spend the next century hearing about how we only got it with the help of a "Packer". No thanks. I am sorry, but as a Vikings fan, a true one, not a fair weather one. I love my team even without the damn ring. I will not sell my soul to satan just to get it.

I have morals. I have values.

And this goes against every single Purple drop of blood running through my body.

When will they learn...

Last week, my husband put up a profile picture that annoyed the shart outta me. I married him based on our beliefs and one of these very important beliefs had been crossed. He went to the dark side if you will. I updated my status informing him that we would be getting a divorce if he did NOT change his profile picture. He ignore me. 24 hours later, I divorced him. A facebook divorce, but a divorce all the same. After all, probably much more "public" then a real divorce. Since facebook soooo kindly informs the general public "Cecile and Kevin have ended thier relationship".

My husband silly man that he is, then went with it, and thought he'd go to the bar "single". So I gladly took his wedding ring from him when we went out. I wore mine, as I do not enjoy the creepy old men at the bar hitting on me. Low and behold, when the night came to an end my poor single husband was still begging me to come home after the only woman that hit on him was his mother in law and I, wedding ring and all, managed to recieve many more inquieries than he, but I took pity and came home with him.

Too bad for him, I'm a good girl and wouldn't dare sleep with a man I wasn't involved with.....wonder how long until he realizes taking that photo down WILL be in his best interest. After all, I alwayas get my way.

Football season brings life lessons

We watched the season opener last night with my mother.

We all had a good laugh over the lessons we teach our children when watching football, especially the Vikings.

Important things we are teaching Izze:

Loyalty--- no matter WHAT game your watching, if daddy yell's touchdown, sound off the VIKINGS HORN!

Unconditional love ---even when your team SUCKS, you love them

Disappointment happens---again and again and again

Swearing is not appropriate---unless used towards a blind referee over a horrible freaken call, or a coach who goes for two points instead of one thus losing $50 in the family pocket

NEVER say "go packers"---if your parents over hear something that sounds like that, tell them you were asking for CRACKERS.

Noisy and distracting toys WILL get you banished to the basement

The best way to earn daddy's approval is to INSIST on wearing your Vikings gear when you wake up in the morning

My favorite time of the year

I love fall, not for the season, but because it usually means:
My birthday
Football
Hot Cidar
Halloween Decorations!

So I MUST show some off! They are never done justice in pictures, but when you are actually IN my home, they are everywhere! Love em!

Me in my candy pants, by my favorite witch stuff!

My favorite sign, "Free Broom Rides" and our imposter Boo, as we call it, Boo Boo likes to knock it over and show it who is boss!

Dining room, can't see the spiders off the table cloth, but they are there

My favorite piece, the BOO platter

The tree manages to scare Kevin EVERY morning, when he turns on the light, with its wicked laugh and scary ghouls that pop out!

My computer area. I love my fiber optic pumpkin!

Trying to give you the effect, but my camera stinks without flash

Kitchen, not sooo exciting on camera, but it has slime lights, witch lanterns, and many of my Dept 56 pieces through out! I love em!

Trying to get the lighting effect, again, sharty camera

Our witch in the outside window

Off our bedroom, the back porch, Skelly watches the backyard

The witch covers the area BELOW Skully

Mr. Spider, blow up man, in front yard

Blurry picture of front of house. Up in the windows are witches in the moon, and a bat in the moon. The lights across the porch change from purple to orange. And of course Spidey is there too! (you can see a GLIMPS of mummy under the right side of the porch)

Our newest addition, and new favorite (Thanks Nana Nancy)
He glows! And is REALLy spooky when you pull in our yard

Trying to show how he glows, but its not working so well.....

Hope they didn't dissapoint, of course if you want the FULL effect, you must come visit!

SUPER Sunday

Whether you watch for the commercials or for the game, whether you root for the Colts or the Bears, whether you watch alone or at a party, SUPER Sunday is all the same. Its a SUPER excuse to eat. You can NOT, tune in on SUPER Sunday wihtout something that is scrum-didilly-dumpsious. Thats the first law. The second would be you are not allowed to tune in without something GREAT and prefereable alchoholic. Beer would be the optimal choice, but for those of us who don't do beer, you need something that is in the malt beverage catagory. Of course there is the amendment to this law for our friends who are NOT able to drink, due to babies in their tummies, ages on their IDs, or addictions in thier head. So whatever reason you have to watch, make sure you have something GOOD to eat, and something STONG to drink and ENJOY!
