ME!
Wow. Where to start. I'm one stubborn ASS. Lets start with that. I like to win, I like to be right and I'm in charge in this house! Or so I was until we decided to have a baby! All of a sudden there is someone else controling my body for nine months, then after that I somewhat get my body back and she controls my life. And 99% of the time, thats GREAT. I love it. But today, I am at my wits end!
Izze needs a nap, mommy needs a nap, EVERYONE needs a nap. But now that we have reached this GREAT milestone of standing in the crib (without reaching the one of figuring out how to get back down), naps are near impossible! She is about asleep, I lay her down, this is when she should take a nap. But no, instead she stands and SCREAMS. So I lay her down again, 73 seconds later, a standing screaming baby. I figure, be the nice mom, pick her up, rock her again. Almost asleep, lay her down 39 seconds, a standing screaming baby. I lay her down, she stands and screams. AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. She can't NOT nap, she is tooo tierd. I gave in, I will hold her while she naps. This should work right? NOPE! Moms holding me, it must be time to play with moms eyelashes or pick moms nose or pull moms hair. So I lay her down and this time, she hasn't got up. But she's surely not asleep. She is laying there sobbing until she is ready to puke. And I just don't know what to do, because this is one I'm just not going to win. I can NOT outsmart the 9 month old.

GG
I love my mom. She is turning out to be one of the best Grandmas in the world. She could get away with murder and make it look cute. Today she stayed home with Izze since she is still running a bit of a fever. How nice that she uses her sick time so I don't have to. However, I called home and she didn't answer. At the end of the day, I snuck home a little early and they were not here! I called her on her cell phone and she tried to tell me that she was at my house. LIAR- YOU NEVER HAVE YOUR CELL PHONE ANYWHERE BUT THE CAR! I say try again. She is a bad liar, she told me Izze needed to get out and have some fun, so she took her to Target. 'She loved it' mom says. Too funny. Izze is gonna love her GG and her undermining ways. But somehow my mom can do this and get away with it. Kevin laughs, I laugh, we all blow it off. Oh how fun to be a grandma, when you can break all the rules, have all the fun, and get away with murder!

Comments please.....
Well I'm calling in my readers on this one. I have an offer that I am pondering, and I'm gonna take full advantage of that offer. My sweet and caring husband has offered to help me with any and all of the things that make me the most tierd in my day. Yes, he is a doll but he is not perfect. Do not think there is not something in this for him. But in the mean time, he asked me to make a list. A list of the things that make me the most tierd through the day. There are some he can NOT help with (i.e. taking the baby to and from daycare) due to his job, but there are plenty he can help with. Laundry, cleaning, cooking, dishes, etc. He already does some of these, and there are some I wouldn't WANT to hand over (i.e. I love to cook). But there are plenty of things that run a daily household that I'm willing to hand over. So this is where I need you. If you had to get rid of the jobs that tier you the most during the day, which would you give up?

I <3 My Blog!
Well, I have started a myspace account. I gave in and did it. It seems like one of the best ways to keep in touch with people who I often don't have the chance to talk with. But I felt like a big cheater when I looked at the blog spot. So I said NO BLOG FOR YOU to myspace and directed everyone here, to my blog and my home. I feel safe here, I feel HEARD. That makes me happy. Not because everyone must agree with what I say, but because they care enough to listen. Thats what respect is about, the ability to listen to ones opinion even if you do not agree with them. So thank you for respecting me, as I respect you. Thank you for listening to me when sometimes I don't have much to say. Thank you for visiting my blog!

Happy Birthday to Monet
Today is my baby's birthday. Our fourth born, MY baby. She is the sassiest spunkiest little farm girl you'll ever meet. She is the one I've wanted since I was a little girl and she is one of the most spoiled kids you'll ever meet! As are all of our children. She turns two today. So please wish my baby a big fat happy birthday wish!

Snow Snow Go Away
Seriously, there is supposedly only 3-4 inches in my driveway, but then WHY is it past my knee. To my measurments it is past 6 inches, AT LEAST. And yes, its light fluffy easy to move stuff, but when you have 5 acres of concrete thats a whole hell of a lot of snow to find a place for. After 2 1/2 hours of shoveling today I have finshed LESS than a third of it. On the happy note, I got quite a work out, on the not so happy note, I only had to dethaw my fingers to prevent frost bite 3 times.
Then I got a helper yes a helper, a big fat german sheparhd who was NOT my own showed up in the yard. We had a stand off. I held up the shovel. I won. He left. My BIG little dog was upstairs barking her little shih tzu head off trying to protect me! Oh the love. Now I am happily sitting here dethawing and waiting to watch Idol. Then I can laugh at people who choose to humiliate themselves and be happy that just for today, everyone ISN'T laughing at me!
My big tough gaurdian! Are you scared?!

The waiting game

Isn't this all life is really? A big fat waiting game. We wait for nine months to get here. Once we are here, we wait to reach our milestones; sitting, crawling, walking. Then we wait to be "big enough." Once we are big enough we wait to go out on our own. We get out on our own and we wait to find that someone who will be our other half. We find them, we wait for them to realize we are their "someone." We wait for our weddings, our careers, our babies. We do it in all different orders, but we do it. We wait. Those are the big things.
Then there are the mundane things. The not so important things but the things we will wait for anyways. We wait for the food to thaw, we wait for the oven to preheat, we wait for the light to turn, we wait for doctors to see us, we wait for our boss to give us a raise, we wait for the dog to pee so we can end our walk, we wait for the alarm to go off to start it all again.
Then there is the WEIGHT we wait for. To come off that is. Thats a LONG weight with lots of work. I hate that wait the most. Thats the wait that got me thinking. If I had money would I have to wait? Money helps us skip these waiting moments. But then, if we do skip them, what do we have? Because as I said, isn't life really about the wait?

SUPER Sunday
Whether you watch for the commercials or for the game, whether you root for the Colts or the Bears, whether you watch alone or at a party, SUPER Sunday is all the same. Its a SUPER excuse to eat. You can NOT, tune in on SUPER Sunday wihtout something that is scrum-didilly-dumpsious. Thats the first law. The second would be you are not allowed to tune in without something GREAT and prefereable alchoholic. Beer would be the optimal choice, but for those of us who don't do beer, you need something that is in the malt beverage catagory. Of course there is the amendment to this law for our friends who are NOT able to drink, due to babies in their tummies, ages on their IDs, or addictions in thier head. So whatever reason you have to watch, make sure you have something GOOD to eat, and something STONG to drink and ENJOY!
