That DOG....

Its always her...the sweetest most innocent laziest and simple little girl.

Yesterday, I called her down stairs. She ignored me. I called and called and called. Finally I went up to get her. She was not in her usual spots (under the bed, next to the toilet, etc). I start to panic, I offer a treat and she still does not come. Well if you know anything about my Monet she is NEVER one to pass up a treat. After 10 minutes of searching the house for her, I realize....the cable guy was here. He opened the door, she is QUEEN of sneaking out. I TEAR out of the house yelling, searching, running! I am panicked, sweaty and hysterical. I call my mother, she'll be right here, I call my husband, he has no idea what to say. I'm already 5 minutes late for work. Who cares, MY BABY is gone. I'm sobbing and I run in the house to get something, and as I open the door, there she stands....in the kitchen, staring, as if to say Mom, whats wrong with YOU, I was TRYING to get some sleep. I was so happy she was alive I could have killed her.

Today, its time to go to work, I yell Monet come down stairs, come on, lets go, I even pull out the treat offer. Nothing, she's tierd and hot. I go upstair and tell her to come out from under the bed. She got excited and runs with me, we head downstairs, all the while Izze in my arms loving the running. As I get to the kitchen, I turn back, NO MONET....I back track and I get upstair with JUST ENOUGH time to see a fluffy tail sneak back under the bed. (Meanwhile, Bailey takes this time alone and decides he should poo on the carpet) I procede to get her out from under the bed, and as soon as she is out she attempts to sneak back under. So finally, I pick her lazzy ass up and carry her down the stairs (while letting Izze frantically pet her and kiss her, this is good punishment I figure). We get to the kennel and usually she trots right in, nope, she tries to run. Oh Monet, you sure do test my patience. So today; my lazy lazy lazy Monet who wants a drink of water so she waits and waits and waits....for it to rain; today, she will be assisted to and fro wherever she may go!
